Cancellation & Refund Policy
Last updated: 11 June 2026
1. Scope
This policy applies to outdoor lifestyle planning services supplied by Earthhipsfilter. Our services are primarily digital planning documents and advisory work — traditional product returns do not apply. This policy sets out cancellation, refund, and revision terms.
2. Consumer Guarantees Act 1993
Where you acquire services as a "consumer" under New Zealand law, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) applies. Services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, be fit for any particular purpose you told us about, and be completed within a reasonable time. Your statutory rights under the CGA are not limited by this policy.
3. Business customers
If you acquire services for business purposes, the CGA guarantees may not apply. Contractual terms in your written service agreement prevail to the extent permitted by law.
4. Service commencement
An engagement begins when both parties agree on scope and any required deposit or payment has been confirmed. Work commences after the discovery conversation and receipt of necessary information from you.
5. Cancellation by you
- Before work commences: full refund of any amount paid
- After discovery, before draft delivery: partial refund reflecting work completed, typically 50%
- After draft delivery: no refund unless services did not meet CGA guarantees; the included revision round remains available
Cancellation requests must be in writing to business@earthhipsfilter.world.
6. Cancellation by us
We may cancel if insufficient information is provided, scope falls outside our expertise, or payment terms are not met. Unused prepaid amounts will be refunded.
7. Revisions
Each service tier includes one revision round within 14 days of draft delivery. Additional revisions may be arranged at an agreed rate.
8. Remedies under the CGA
If services fail to meet a CGA guarantee, you may be entitled to remedies including re-performance or a refund. Contact us within a reasonable time of identifying the issue. See our Complaints Procedure for the resolution process.
9. Disputes Tribunal
Unresolved disputes may be referred to the Disputes Tribunal of New Zealand for claims within its monetary jurisdiction.
